Missing teeth, replaced to a published standard.

Ten documented steps. Every placement measured and recorded. A five-year review programme in every case. Every patient begins with The Record — a 60-minute assessment, $295, credited in full against treatment.

Led by Dr Hyun Soo Yu, MSc Implantology, FICOI. Treatment is delivered at our St Kilda and Parkdale surgeries.

Proof 01

CBCT 3D planning

Your case is planned in software and approved by you before surgery is scheduled.

Proof 02

Guided surgical placement

Surgery is performed through a printed guide made from the approved plan.

Proof 03

A written plan, yours to take anywhere

Including to another clinic for a second opinion.

Proof 04

Five-year review programme

Six scheduled appointments, included in the fee.

The Standard

Ten steps, in this order, every time.

This is the whole method, published. If you are comparing quotes, this is the list of things worth asking about.

01

Triage

Your first call is taken by a treatment coordinator. They will tell you what The Record involves and what it produces. They will not quote a treatment fee over the telephone, because nobody can responsibly quote one before the scan.

02

The Record

A 60-minute assessment: CBCT volumetric scan, intraoral scan, calibrated photography, and a full medical and medication review.

03

Site analysis

Bone volume and density are mapped against the load the site will actually carry — a molar and an incisor are not the same engineering problem.

04

Digital planning

Implant position, angle and depth are planned in software and approved by you before any surgery is scheduled.

05

The dossier

You receive a written plan: the staging, the timeline, the components to be used, the total investment, a health fund estimate against your own policy, and the alternatives we considered and declined, with the reasons.

06

Guided placement

Surgery is performed through a printed surgical guide produced from the plan you approved, so placement follows the plan rather than being judged freehand.

07

Recorded stability

Insertion torque and stability are measured at placement and recorded on your file. If the numbers are not right, we stage the case differently rather than proceeding.

08

Integration review

At eight to twelve weeks a radiograph is taken to confirm whether the implant has integrated. Nothing is loaded onto it before that confirmation.

09

Verified fit

Occlusion is checked and adjusted, and a photographic record is taken at the fit appointment, against the records taken at The Record.

10

The Standard Commitment

Reviews at 6, 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months are scheduled before you leave. The fixture warranty is conditional on attending them, because maintenance is a large part of how long an implant lasts. Full warranty terms: see terms.

The anatomy

Built the way a tooth is built.

A natural tooth is a crown carried on a root. An implant restoration follows the same architecture: a titanium fixture takes the place of the root and fuses with the bone, a custom abutment connects the two, and an all-ceramic crown does the work of the tooth. That is why an integrated implant is used, cleaned and maintained like the tooth it replaced.

Your plan, on screen, before surgery
Steps 03 – 05

Planned on screen, approved by you, written down.

Nothing at The Implant Standard is judged freehand. Your CBCT volumetric scan is mapped against the load each site will carry, the implant position, angle and depth are planned in software, and you approve that plan before surgery is scheduled.

What you take home is the dossier: the staging, the timeline, the components to be used, the total investment, a health fund estimate against your own policy, and the alternatives we considered and declined, with the reasons.

The Register

What implant treatment costs here, before you ring us.

Implants are not a good-better-best ladder. You do not pick a tier by budget — you arrive at one determined by how much has been lost. We publish the whole scale so you can see where you sit before you sit down.

I

The Single Standard

One missing or failing tooth

One fixture, custom abutment and an all-ceramic crown. Guided placement, integration review and entry to the Standard Commitment.

from $5,500per tooth
II

The Span

Three or four adjacent teeth

An implant-supported bridge carried on two fixtures, planned and priced as one restoration. Two adjacent teeth are quoted as two Single Standards instead — at that scale separate units are easier to clean and cheaper to repair.

from $12,000per span
III

The Anchor

Existing denture wearers

An implant-stabilised overdenture on two to four fixtures. Your denture stops moving; the treatment stays removable.

from $13,500per arch
IV

The Full Arch Standard

One arch, failing or absent dentition

Four to six fixtures carrying a fixed prosthesis, with the provisional included. The definitive bridge is an acrylic hybrid at this fee; zirconia is quoted as an upgrade inside your dossier, with what each material means for maintenance and replacement set out beside it.

from $25,000per arch
V

The Complete Standard

Both arches, planned as one case

Full reconstruction under a single surgical and prosthetic plan, one recorded occlusion and one commitment period. Both arches are placed in the same session, which costs less to deliver than two separate cases — so the fee is not simply double the single-arch figure.

from $46,000both arches

Starting fees. Grafting, sinus elevation and extractions are staged where required and quoted inside your dossier, never added afterwards. Health fund rebates vary by policy; your dossier carries a written estimate against your own policy rather than a published range.

Included in every fee above

The CBCT scan and the surgical guide

Both are part of the method, so neither is a line item.

The provisional, on every full-arch case

Often quoted separately elsewhere. Here it is part of the fee.

Five years of scheduled reviews

Six appointments, booked in advance.

The written dossier

Yours to take to another clinic if you want a second opinion.

The Record

One hour, and you leave knowing the whole plan.

$295, credited in full against treatment commenced within 90 days. The dossier is yours either way — including if you take it to another clinic for a second opinion.

A CBCT 3D scan

A volumetric image of your jaw, taken here.

An intraoral scan

A digital model of your mouth as it is now. No impression trays.

Photographic records

Calibrated, repeatable, and yours.

A medical review

Medications, conditions and healing factors that change how a case is staged.

Site analysis and a digital plan

Where each implant would go, and why there rather than somewhere else.

A health fund estimate

What your own policy will rebate on your own plan, in writing. Not a range.

A written dossier

Staging, timelines, components, your total figure, and the alternatives we declined.

Availability

A limited number of Record appointments is released each week, because the number of cases that can be planned and carried at one time is finite. Call us and we will find you the first one that suits.

Paying for it

Staged against the treatment, not against a calendar.

Implant treatment happens in stages months apart, and payment follows the same shape: a portion at planning, a portion at placement, the balance at fit. Payment plans through Denticare and SmileRight are available if you would rather spread it further, and we will set out what each costs you in total before you choose one.

Health funds and super

Written estimates, not published ranges.

Rebates vary by policy and by the item numbers your case actually uses, so your dossier carries an estimate against your own cover rather than a figure from a brochure.

Early release of superannuation for dental treatment is decided by the ATO on compassionate grounds. We work with SuperCare, who manage the application process, and we provide the clinical documentation it requires. Approval is the ATO's decision, not ours, and is not something we can guarantee. We would encourage you to get independent financial advice before withdrawing superannuation for any purpose.

Questions

What people ask first.

Why is there a fee when other clinics consult for free?
Because The Record cannot include a 3D scan, an hour of assessment and planning, and a written dossier — somebody pays for those either way. Ours is credited back to you in full, and it means the appointment is an assessment rather than a sales meeting.
Will I get an actual price on the day?
Yes. A total figure, in writing, staged, with what it includes and what it does not, and an estimate of what your health fund will rebate against it. That is the point of the appointment.
Does it hurt?
Placement is done under local anaesthetic, and sedation or general anaesthetic is available if you would prefer it. Discomfort afterwards varies between people; we will tell you what to expect for your case and what pain relief is appropriate before you consent to anything.
How long will an implant last?
That depends on the site, your general health, and how consistently the implant is maintained — which is why the review programme is part of the fee rather than an extra. Your dossier sets out the expected maintenance for your case and what would eventually need replacing. Nobody can honestly promise you a number.
Can I use my superannuation?
Early release of super for dental treatment is decided by the ATO on compassionate grounds, not by us. We work with SuperCare, who manage the application, and we provide the clinical documentation it requires. Approval is the ATO's decision and we cannot guarantee it, and we would encourage you to get independent financial advice first.
Do I need a referral?
No. If your own dentist has referred you, bring their letter and any recent radiographs and we will send them a copy of the plan.
